Event technician

A race technician is a professional who ensures the smooth operation of the technical aspects of various events (such as sports events,ports events, auto races, etc.). They are mainly responsible for the adjustment, operation, maintenance, and technical support of event-related equipment to ensure the efficient and safe of events on a technical level.

 

Main job responsibilities:

 

- Equipment management: Responsible for the installation, adjustment, inspection, and troubleshooting of professional equipment required events (such as timing systems, broadcasting equipment, esports servers, lighting and sound, venue facilities, etc.) to ensure that the equipment meets the standards of the event

- Technical support: Monitor the operation status of equipment in real-time during the event, respond quickly to technical issues (such as network lag, equipment failure, etc.) and ensure that the event process is not interrupted.

- Process coordination: Cooperate with the referee, operation and other teams to complete technical operations (such as precise timing, realtime data transmission, on-site effect adjustment, etc.) according to the rules and processes of the event.

- Pre-event preparation: Participate in the formulation of solutions before the event, check device compatibility, carry out simulation tests, and avoid potential technical risks in advance.

- Post-event tidying: Responsible for the disassembly inventory, maintenance and storage of equipment, organize technical data and form reports, and provide references for subsequent events.

 

Required skills and qualities:

 

- Professional skills: F with the principles and operation of event-related equipment, have certain knowledge of electronics, machinery or information technology, and can quickly deal with various technical faults.

- Industry awareness: the rules and technical standards of the events served (such as the timing accuracy requirements of sports events, the server configuration standards of esports events, etc.).

- response capability: Can calmly respond to sudden technical issues in high-intensity events, and have the ability to quickly investigate and solve problems.

- Teamwork: Be able to efficiently with the event operation, referee, broadcasting and other teams to ensure that the technical links are seamlessly integrated with the event process.

 

The professional requirements for technicians in different types events vary greatly (such as esports technicians focusing on networks and servers, auto race technicians focusing on vehicle performance adjustment), but the core is to ensure the professionalism and entertainment of event through technical support.
